Different 9 ways to use eye drops before cataract surgery

Rated as one of the leading best eye hospitals in India, the eye hospital was established in 1987 and has now become a full-fledged outpatient cataract surgery center with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. We provide eye care for children.

Caring for your children's eyes is an important process, and preventing problems before they happen is the best way to ensure that their eyes develop well as they grow. While there are several different solutions to vision problems for adults, such as contact lenses and laser eye surgery, children only have access to glasses, which are easy to break and lose and expensive to replace. So, it is important to ensure that all measures are taken to ensure that your child has optimal vision throughout their formative years.

Here are some of the things you can do besides regular check-ups to keep their eyes clean and healthy – and encourage them to do the same!

Ahmedabad Eye Hospital is sharing this information for public health.

1. Always wash your hands before applying eye drops.

2. To open the bottle, tighten the cap on the nozzle and the bottle will puncture, do not open the bottle with a needle or pin.

3. Open the cap of the eye drop solution and place the cap upside down on a clean surface "be careful not to let the cap touch anywhere".

4.  pull down the bottom lid and apply the drops.

5. Close both eyes for one minute to allow the medicine to have enough contact time with the eye.

6. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the vial to the eye.

7. Use the drops within one month of opening the bottle and throw away the drops after one month of opening, even if it is full.

8. If you have many types of eye drops, leave 10 minutes between each type. If you are using both eye drops and ointment, apply the drops first.

9. Take all medications with you at each follow-up visit.
